Q: Should we bring a wedding gift?

A: Your presence is the greatest gift of all! We kindly request that you treat yourself instead.

Q: Do I need a passport?

A: Yes! Please check your passport's expiration date now. For entry into France, your U.S. passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your planned departure date. If it expires anytime in late 2026, we strongly recommend renewing it immediately.

Q: When should we plan to arrive and depart?

A: If you are taking our private shuttle, please plan to be in Rouen by the morning of Friday, May 1st, 2026, as the shuttle to the château will depart around noon that same day. If you are arranging your own transport, please ensure you arrive at the château on Friday afternoon. Our farewell brunch will conclude around noon on Sunday, May 3rd, so you can plan your departure accordingly.

Q: Which airport should I fly into?

A: The best and most convenient airport is Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG). All our recommended transportation options are based on traveling from CDG.

Q: What are my transportation options from the airport?

A: We have outlined three main options: 1. Our Private Shuttle: The most carefree option. Arrive in Rouen by April 30th, and we'll shuttle you to and from the château. 2. Rental Car: Ideal for flexibility and exploring the region. You can rent a car at CDG and drive directly to Luneray (approx. 2.5 hours). 3. Public Transport: An adventurous option involving a bus from CDG to a Paris train station (Gare Saint-Lazare) and then a train to Rouen or Dieppe, followed by a taxi. You can find detailed information for each of these on our "Travel" page.

Q: Should I notify my bank that I'm traveling?

A:Yes! Be sure to inform your credit/debit card companies of your travel dates to avoid your cards being frozen for suspicious activity.

Q: What will the weather be like? What should I pack?

A: Early May in Normandy is beautiful but can be unpredictable. Expect spring weather with average temperatures between 50-65°F (10-18°C). We recommend packing layers—sweaters, a light jacket, and definitely a rain jacket or umbrella! Luneray is a small, quiet commune, so comfort is key.

Q: What is the dress code for the wedding?

A: The dress code is Cocktail Attire. For men, this means a suit and tie. For women, a cocktail dress, midi dress, or elegant jumpsuit. As we'll be in the countryside, please consider bringing a shawl or wrap for the evening and choosing footwear that can handle grass or gravel (maybe rethink stilettos!).
